Overview
The Cawood Group has an opportunity for 2 permanent, full-time Construction Environmental Monitoring Technicians based in the West Midlands. Working as part of a team on a prestigious, long-term infrastructure project. This role is within the Enitial division of Cawood Scientific Field Services.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the management of methods to be used on site and initiating new services aligned with promoting the Enitial brand.
* Leading projects and liaising with a Project Manager, BET Project Coordinator, Site Managers, Data Analyst and the Client to ensure projects are implemented positively, professionally and in line with British guidance or client requirements.
* Providing a reliable, efficient, and professional level of service to our clients.
* Managing data accurately and in line with client/company requirements. Reporting data to the Data Analysts in a timely and correct format.
* Keeping safety at the forefront of field works; proactively reporting accidents and near misses to the Project Manager and client per company policy.
* Liaising with laboratories and couriers to ensure field samples are collected in a compliant manner.
* Providing routine company administration to central systems including expenses and vehicle checks; undergoing FORS training.
* Assisting with on-site training of new employees to ensure smooth onboarding.
* Conducting routine environmental monitoring and sampling in accordance with company protocols, quality assurance requirements, and client specifications.
* Travel will be required; the role is site-based and may involve working in challenging weather conditions.
* The role requires a Safety-critical medical certificate (to be provided) and successful completion of Client onboarding processes and competency card.
Skills, Qualifications And Experience
* Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ field-based environmental testing experience and/or specialist project service experience.
* Scientific degree (Environmental Science, Earth Sciences, etc) preferred but not essential.
* Proven track record in communication and teamwork.
* Microsoft Office skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence is required.
* CSCS is preferred (willing to work towards).
* SSSTS is preferred (willing to work towards).
