Primary Responsibilities:
* Perform validation of hazard and vulnerability components of the major peril models and evaluate new models and datasets.
* Examine model version changes.
* Develop the Arch View of Risk framework for use across the organization.
* Assist in the implementation of innovative tools supporting our post-event response and reserving.
* Evaluate third-party data and develop standards for use across business units.
* Support meteorological needs within Arch.
* Analyze claim data and make recommendations based on event information.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of commercial catastrophe modeling experience.
* Expertise in third-party catastrophe model vendor platforms (AIR, KCC).
* Expert-level knowledge of natural weather perils.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SQL.
* Experience with Python, R, or geospatial tools (ESRI) is a plus.
Estimated travel up to 10%.
