Senior Staff Nurse – Imaging
Location: London: The Lister Hospital, Chelsea (with rotation to Chelsea Outpatients Centre; 272/280 Kings Road and Chiswick Medical Centre, W4 4HS)
Contract: Permanent; full time; 37.5 hours per week; salary competitive depending on experience.
Shift times: Monday-Friday, flexibility required to cover 8am - 8pm, plus on call.
We are seeking a Senior Staff Nurse in Imaging/IR for The Lister Hospital, rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.
Responsibilities
* Provide a professional standard of excellence in nursing services for all patients.
* Be competent in all areas of Imaging Nursing, including assisting with one-stop breast clinics, imaging-guided drainages and biopsies, interventional radiology cases and therapeutic procedures.
* Share clinical knowledge with multidisciplinary colleagues formally (through CPD sessions/clinical competency forms) and informally (ad hoc teaching/training opportunities).
* Participate in regular mandatory training relating to safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, ensuring compliance in escalation of any safeguarding concerns.
* Assist booking clerks and radiographers in booking immediate appointments.
* Form an effective working relationship with consultants, medical, radiographic and administrative staff within the department and the hospital as a whole.
What You'll Bring
* Hold a BSc (or equivalent) in nursing and a current UK NMC registration meeting PREP requirement.
* Experience in imaging/IR is essential.
* Demonstrate commitment to imaging nursing through CPD/protocol development within a radiology area.
* Have a portfolio of relevant CPD.
* Postgraduate qualification within imaging or another relevant area.
* Previous experience working with paediatrics is an advantage.
