The Role:
We are looking for an
experienced, enthusiastic and superstar Group Head of Bars to join our journey!
As the operational lead of our Caravan Bars, you'll be instrumental in driving
efficiency, ensuring profitability, and maintaining impeccable service
standards. This role is tailor-made for a seasoned Bars and Beverage
professional with a proven track record of managing multiple sites and leading
high-performing teams.
Our Group Head of Bars will be fully responsible for all Caravan
Bars: drinks, specs, bar service standards, training, and site support. You
will ensure an excellent drinking experience for our customers, leading from
the front and able to execute the drinks menu with efficiency and flair. You
will bring our bar offering to new heights and you will drive a strong Caravan culture
across all sites, providing operational support and hands-on assistance when
required.
You'll also oversee the meticulous crafting and periodic
fine-tuning of our seasonal drinks menu, spanning an appealing range of
non-alcoholic beverages, wines, and cocktails. Collaborating closely with our
Founders, Laura Harper-Hinton (Creative Director) and Miles Kirby (Food and
Drink Director), alongside Chris Ammerman, who heads our wine program, you'll
bring a strategic lens to menu planning, leveraging data and analytics to
achieve sales and supplier targets for retros. While your primary focus will be
on operational excellence, your creative insights will be welcomed and
integrated into our processes, adding to our offerings within our highly creative,
dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As
Caravan’s Group Head of Bars, you will be responsible for:
Lead our bars taking full ownership of all aspects of operations,
with a keen focus on driving commercial success. This encompasses strategic
menu planning informed by data and analytics to achieve sales and supplier
targets for retros.

Strategic Planning and Revenue Growth: Present and create new
strategies to drive revenue and performance across beverage-driven areas,
ensuring consistency and brand standards.

Knowledge and Expertise: Possess sound knowledge of spirits, classic
cocktails, and coffee; passionate about quality food ingredients and artisan
coffee.
· Customer
Excellence:
setting service standards, from design to delivery, execution and follow
up.

Menu Development:
creative, structural, and seasonable menu changes.

Stock Management and Cost Control:
Analyse stock takes across all sites, work with FnB to achieve required GP for
drinks, manage wastage, and minimise out-of-date stock.
· Team
Training, Development, and People Management:
Implement training plans for consistency and progression, liaise with people
and operations team for on-the-job training, and support management on
people-related matters including recruitment and performance.

Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain high health and
safety standards in all bars with updated and executed checklists and cleaning
schedules.

System Management and Troubleshooting: Communicate and facilitate
systems for menu, till, and pricing updates; troubleshoot POS systems to ensure
smooth ordering and delivery processes.
