Part of NHS Scotland Assure, ARHAI leads and supports efforts to prevent healthcare associated infection by means of guidance development, surveillance, operational support and training, covering areas such as incident and outbreak management, decontamination, the built environment, research and infection prevention and control expertise.

The Candidate

We are seeking a Nurse Consultant to join the ARHAI Group to provide clinical leadership across ARHAI Scotland’s six Priority Programmes:

* CHIPC (Care Home Infection Prevention and Control)
* D&I (Data & Intelligence)
* CA (Clinical Assurance)
* SONAAR (Scottish One Health Antimicrobial Use and Antimicrobial Resistance)

Are you a first‑level registered nurse with a Masters degree or equivalent learning and evidence of ongoing professional development? Do you have relevant clinical expertise, experience of leadership and innovation within this setting?

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, who can prioritise, assess and decision‑make, who can be proactive, innovative and enthusiastic.

Knowledge of ARHAI Scotland would be advantageous. It is vital that you demonstrate the NHS values of working with respect and care, openness and integrity.

150 hours per year to be worked flexibly between Monday to Friday as per agreement.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK and have entitlement to work in the UK for the post in which you will be employed.

Benefits

Our benefits package includes pension scheme, comprehensive work‑life balance policies, occupational health services, learning resource centres and discounted leisure, financial and shopping benefits.
