About the Role
An exciting opportunity for an important role within the business, working under the Regional Financial Controller and closely with the Design and Construction team for the EMEA region. The role will be responsible for end-to-end processes for asset companies (“AssetCo”) within the region, including financial reporting and analysis to EMEA regional finance.
Main Responsibilities
1. Overall financial responsibility for operating AssetCo entities within the region.
2. Review and present monthly results in line with Group policies and timelines.
3. Perform all accounting functions associated with AssetCos, including account reconciliation and financial statements.
4. Manage month-end closing and accounts.
5. Perform monthly variance analysis, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
6. Liaise with the Design and Construction team to monitor actuals versus budget.
7. Monitor debt covenants and manage payments.
8. Handle year-end responsibilities for AssetCos, including preparing financial statements and completing audits within strict timeframes.
9. Ensure correct application of accounting policies across all entities, consistent with the Group Reporting framework.
10. Collaborate with other departments on monthly draws, cash management, tax filings, and other activities.
11. Support the Financial Controller with various activities.
12. Identify and drive process improvements.
13. Be visible within the group, acting as the main contact for AssetCos.
Qualifications and Experience
1. 3-4+ years of experience in a finance role.
2. Strong presentation, analytical, people management, communication, and organizational skills.
3. Self-motivated, problem solver, able to provide recommendations and solutions.
4. Proactive, able to plan, organize, and take initiative independently.
5. Detail-oriented, methodical, and conscientious.
6. Ability to interact effectively at all levels.
7. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong focus on quality control and problem-solving.
9. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with adherence to deadlines.
