Senior RFIC Design Engineer Location: Maldon, Essex (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: Up to £75,000 Relocation Assistance Visa Sponsorship Type: Permanent | Hybrid We're recruiting on behalf of a highly innovative and well-funded technology business based in Maldon, Essex. They're seeking a Senior RFIC Design Engineer to join their New Product Engineering team and take a leading role in the design of RF and analogue circuits for sub-6GHz ICs. This is a hands-on role suited to a self-motivated engineer with deep technical expertise in RF/analogue IC design and a track record of mentoring more junior colleagues. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, implementation, and verification of RF/analogue sub-circuits such as LNAs, mixers, VGAs, filters, PLLs, dividers, bias circuits, and more. Work across technologies including SiGe BiCMOS and RF-CMOS to deliver high-performance, innovative ICs. Serve as a design authority on major projects, overseeing development from concept through to silicon validation. Produce detailed design documentation and mentor junior engineers. Collaborate with test and layout teams across multiple sites. Contribute to the definition of ASIC test plans and support product evaluation and characterisation. Skills & Experience Required: Master's degree or PhD in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or a closely related field, or equivalent industrial track record. 5 years' experience in RF/analogue IC design, ideally with experience in sub-6GHz applications. Proven success in delivering right-first-time silicon. Deep understanding of core design principles including linearity, stability, mismatch, and noise. Hands-on experience with Cadence Virtuoso and version control tools. Working knowledge of EM tools and IC layout techniques. Strong understanding of ESD protection and design for manufacture principles. Excellent time management, communication, and organisational skills.
