Meraki Talent is delighted to be supporting a respected and long-established Independent Chartered Accountancy firm in Edinburgh with the appointment of an Audit & Accounts Manager to join their growing team.

The Firm

This firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality accountancy and advisory services to a wide variety of clients. Known for its supportive and collaborative culture, the practice is entering an exciting period of growth and is now seeking a qualified professional to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients.

The Role

This opportunity is ideal for a qualified accountant seeking a varied and rewarding role. The position blends audit, accounts preparation, charity independent examinations offering a well-rounded managerial opportunity within a dynamic team.

Key areas of responsibility include:
* Managing statutory audits across a range of sectors.
* Leading accounts preparation for non-audit limited companies and other entities.
* Reviewing corporation tax returns prepared by junior staff, with more complex returns reviewed in conjunction with the firm's Tax Director.
* Overseeing independent examinations for charity clients.
Candidate Profile
* Hold a professional qualification (CA, ACCA or equivalent).
* Have solid experience in public practice environment.
* Possess a working knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS .
* Be confident managing a mixed portfolio of clients.
* Be proactive, organised, and a natural team player.
