Workspaces for almost every type of business

Key Accountabilities

1. Keep the centre in excellent working order.
2. Clean light fittings and test lighting systems weekly replacing parts as needed.
3. Clear blockages and remove foreign matter from sinks, toilets, drains, kitchen grease traps. Clean spillages as required.
4. Ensure gullies and drains are kept free from debris and that the centre and grounds are litter free.
5. Ensure clear and safe pedestrian access to the Centre particularly in adverse weather conditions (e.g. clearing snow, gritting etc.)
6. Dispose of waste materials in a safe, hygienic manner ensuring that it is available for collection as required.
7. Painting and Decorating – as required
8. Joinery - first line maintenance of fixtures and fittings, examples: tightening screws on window hinges, maintenance on door handles, minor repairs as a temporary measure after break-ins, vandalism etc.
9. Monitor stock levels of consumable items such as fuel, grit, light, bulbs/tubes and replenish supplies as needed.
10. Report emergencies in the case of faults with gas, electric and water supply.
11. Grass cutting and grounds maintenance.
12. Cleaning of carpets and furniture.
13. Clean the internal face of external windows and other internal glass.
14. Comply with the requirements of Health and Safety, other relevant legislation, Centre policies, carry out weekly fire alarm tests and assist with evacuation procedures.

Key Knowledge and Experience Required

15. Experience of providing maintenance services in a similar customer facing environment.
16. Demonstrate good customer service at all times.
17. Experience of working within strict schedules of work and to tight deadlines.
18. Good knowledge of safe working practices, ability to operate within Health and Safety Guidelines and good understanding of risk assessments and their application.
