We are looking for a Principal Process Engineer to join PM Group working for us on a hybrid working arrangement based out of our Edinburgh office.

Responsibilities
As a Principal Process Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out conceptual and detailed designs for complex building services systems in facilities within the pharmaceutical, food, chemical, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
You'll lead the Process team on projects, coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project management to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
You will be part of a talented, supportive, and friendly Process team working across the UK and globally, in a multidisciplinary environment with engineers and project managers to deliver high-tech facilities.
You will also assist with bids and tenders, as well as provide coaching and mentoring to early-career engineering professionals.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar.
* Chartered member of a Professional Engineering Institution, such as IChemE.
* Relevant experience in process engineering, professional services, and/or consultancy.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and risk assessments, with a strong attention to detail.
* Strong awareness of the relationship between process design scope and overall project commercial performance, including value-engineering exercises.
* Self-motivated, organized, reliable, with a professional approach and demeanor. Commitment to safety, quality, environmental protection, and business ethics.
* Experience working within the framework of an ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
* Experience in biopharma/pharma and/or food sectors is preferred.
* Ability to adapt, multi-task, and prioritize effectively.
* Positive outlook and approachable manner.
