Overview
South Leicester Hybrid (2/3 days office, 2/3 days home). We are looking for a Head of Accounting and Control to join our medium to large sized client, a member-owned co-operative supporting over 1,300 independent construction related businesses across the UK. Based at its South Leicester office, this role is a key part of the Finance leadership team, reporting to the Finance and Operations Director. You’ll take ownership of management accounts, financial reporting, cash flow management and financial controls, while helping drive financial insight and operational efficiency across the business. You’ll also play an important role as the company enters an exciting phase of digital transformation, implementing new systems, technologies and AI to enhance how it supports its members.
Responsibilities
Lead management accounts, financial reporting, cash flow management and financial controls.
Drive financial insight and operational efficiency across the business.
Support the company’s digital transformation by implementing new systems, technologies and AI.
Manage a small finance team and oversee financial processes supporting approximately £200m of monthly transactions.
Qualifications
Be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW).
Strong experience in management accounts and financial reporting.
Ability to communicate financial insight clearly to senior stakeholders.
Enjoys hands-on work while maintaining strategic oversight.
