Located on the edge of the Lake District National Park, Furness College is the largest FE College in Cumbria offering an extensive range of courses with a particular emphasis on technical learning, apprenticeships and Higher Education, in addition to the broadest A’ level offer in Cumbria. Student Services are central to everything we do at the College, from supporting potential learners with independent advice and guidance to getting them on the correct course for their chosen career path, through to their planned destination, whether that be employment or higher education.
Working within a small but busy function, the post holder will be responsible for coordinating the overall administration of the admissions process for all provision. Good communication skills are essential, as the post holder will be the main link between the Student Services team and our curriculum staff.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and multitask on a daily basis. Good IT skills are essential, particularly with the use of Microsoft packages. For a full list of responsibilities please see the attached job description.
Hours: 37 hours per week
Tenure: Permanent
Annual Leave: 30 days, plus bank holidays and Christmas closure
