Calvin Christian HS: Boys’ Varsity Baseball Coach
Calvin Christian High School is looking to employ an energetic and passionate Boys’ Varsity Baseball Coach who loves Jesus Christ and is committed to sharing that love through coaching our young men. Our Boys’ Varsity Baseball Coach will lead the program and be responsible for developing program goals that support the mission and core values of GCCS. The baseball coach’s responsibilities include evaluating students’ performance; building team and individual skills, communicating with players, parents and administration; and leading the program to promote good sportsmanship.
Baseball Coach Responsibilities:
1. Building positive relationships with players, staff, parents, school staff and the community
2. Be an appropriate role model for coaches, students, and parents
3. Mentor players in their faith journey
4. Teaches and demonstrates sportsmanship and appropriate conduct toward players, officials, and spectators
5. Assessing students’ baseball skills to determine areas in need of improvement.
6. Assisting students in developing and improving their skills as baseball players and teammates.
7. Developing appropriate training programs for student-athletes, based on their age, objectives, and individual skill sets.
8. Ability to develop an organized program. Must be able run organized practices, off-season workouts, conditioning, summer camps, parent meetings, among other duties not listed.
9. Develop a comprehensive youth baseball program for 7th -12th grades, integrating all the levels and teams.
10. Build strong relationships with elementary and middle school feeder schools and create camps to develop our future Squires
11. Identifying the learning styles that work best for each student and adapting all coaching methods accordingly.
12. Providing a secure and productive learning environment for students.
13. Develop a regular practice schedule and organize practice activities to provide both individual and team development
