Are you a passionate and proactive Teaching Assistant with a full driving licence? Teaching Personnel are urgently seeking a dedicated and flexible Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs at a supportive specialist provision. The successful candidate must be confident driving and willing to take students out on day activities as part of their educational development.
As a Teaching Assistant in this setting, you will work closely with teaching staff and the wider support team to ensure all students are fully engaged, safe, and supported throughout the school day – both in the classroom and during off-site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
-Support students on a 1:1 or small group basis, both in the classroom and during off-site activities
-Drive students to and from off-site educational or therapeutic day trips and sessions
-Promote engagement and independence by adapting support to individual learning styles
-Assist with managing behaviour in line with school policies and personalised plans
-Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, therapists, and external agencies
-Help prepare learning materials and resources
-Support students’ emotional well-being and social development
-Participate in weekly Wednesday evening staff training and development sessions
Requirements:
-Must hold a full UK driving licence and be confident driving students off-site
-Experience working with young people, ideally those with additional needs
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-A proactive and positive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
