About the Role
A growing building performance and sustainability consultancy is looking to appoint an Intermediate IES Modeller to support the delivery of innovative and energy-efficient building designs across a diverse range of projects.
This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and sustainability specialists on projects where energy performance, low-carbon design and environmental impact are key priorities.
You will play a key role in developing building performance simulations and energy strategies, helping project teams optimise building design and meet sustainability objectives.

Key Duties
Produce detailed building performance simulations using IES VE
Support the development of energy strategies and building optimisation
Assess building performance including energy use, thermal comfort and environmental impact
Work closely with architects, engineers and sustainability consultants across project teams
Prepare technical reports and modelling outputs for internal teams and clients
Participate in design discussions and provide input on sustainable design approaches
Responsibilities
Develop accurate IES VE models for a variety of building types
Perform energy modelling and thermal analysis
Contribute to achieving energy efficiency and compliance targets
Communicate modelling results clearly to project teams
Maintain awareness of industry guidance, regulations and modelling best practice
Support the delivery of sustainable and efficient building solutions
Requirements
3+ years' experience in building performance modelling
Strong working knowledge of IES VE software
Background within building services, sustainability or building physics
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Relevant degree in engineering, sustainability, building physics or similar (desirable)
