Paraplanning Associate / Junior Paraplanner

The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a technically minded and ambitious individual to join a growing and supportive Paraplanning team as a Paraplanning Associate / Junior Paraplanner.
This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in financial planning who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop into a fully competent paraplanner.
You will benefit from structured training, full exam support, and ongoing one-to-one mentoring from experienced professionals, enabling you to build both technical expertise and practical paraplanning skills.
Working closely with Advisers and the Technical Team Leader, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of accurate, compliant, and high-quality financial planning advice, while developing your long-term career within paraplanning.

Role Purpose
As a key member of the Paraplanning team, you will support the delivery of accurate and compliant financial planning advice by:
* Preparing suitability reports that are accurate, professional, and compliant
* Conducting detailed research across pensions, investments, protection, and wider financial planning solutions
* Supporting advisers with technical analysis and case preparation
* Ensuring all work meets regulatory standards and internal procedures
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
* Liaising with product providers and internal teams where required
* Developing a strong understanding of the full advice process and client journey
* Building technical knowledge under the supervision of the Technical Team Leader
This is a structured development role with a clear pathway towards becoming a confident and fully qualified paraplanner.
About You
Essential Experience & Skills
* Minimum 3 years experience within a financial planning firm
* Exposure to paraplanning or technical/administrative support work
* Currently working towards the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
* Ideally 12 CII RO exams already achieved
* Good understanding of the UK financial services regulatory framework
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Professional, proactive, and collaborative approach
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Motivated to develop into a paraplanning role
Desirable
* Progress toward or completion of the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
* Strong analytical and technical thinking skills
* Confidence working with complex financial information and casework
