Electrical Shift Engineer

Overview
We are looking for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join our team in Salford for the Media City contract. This permanent full‑time role works a 4‑on, 4‑off shift pattern (07:00‑19:00) followed by 4 days off. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The primary role is all‑round engineering support, maintaining building infrastructure and ensuring 100% uptime. Responsibilities include coordinating day‑to‑day activities with FM management, responding to plant failures, carrying out preventative maintenance, risk assessments, and subcontractor management.
Principal Objectives
* Carry out PPM tasks and complete related documentation
* Carry out reactive call‑outs on critical systems
* Complete compliance testing and minor works to JSP375 standard
* Minor installation works and testing
* Communicate company vision and objectives, ensuring implementation of new procedures
* Promote and drive company values
* Keep up to date with industry developments, driving innovation and effective change
Impact
This role is client‑forward facing, requiring good experience and excellent communication skills to meet operational and contractual obligations and mitigate risk to EQUANS.
Complexity
We are looking for a confident, experienced, driven individual with strong planning and organisational skills.
Qualifications or Required Experience
* City and Guilds training
* Strong communication skills
* Good experience of electrical maintenance and repairs
* Previous AP/AE experience and qualifications preferred but not essential
