Cyber Security ManagerSheffield + Hybrid working (3-4 days on site)Up to £75,000 Our Manufacturing client is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cyber Security Manager to lead their cybersecurity efforts within a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment. You will be responsible for protecting critical assets, networks, and data against cyber threats while managing a small team of security professionals and the relationship of our outsourced service providers. This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in cybersecurity,pliance, and risk management.What you will be doing
1. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of cybersecurity specialists, fostering collaboration and enhancing team performance.
2. Strategy: Support the development, implementation and maintenance of the IT strategy by offering security advice and creation of security policy to enable business objectives.
3. Incident Management: Lead the response to security incidents, ensuring effective investigation, containment, and resolution to a successful oue.
4. Threat Analysis: Using abination of in-house tooling and external resources, conduct vulnerability analysis, and penetration tests to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential threats.
5. Policy Development: Refresh existing, and where required, author robust cyber security policies, procedures, and standards for the organization.
6. Training and Awareness: Oversee the design and execution of employee security training programs.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with the Enterprise Architect, Service Desk, Infrastructure teams and other resolver groups to safeguard operational technology (OT) and IT systems.
8. Technology Management: Evaluate and implement technologies for monitoring, detection, and prevention of cyber threats.
9. Reporting: Provide regular updates and rmendations to Director IT on security posture, risks, and incident responses.
What you will need
10. Certifications: Industry-recognised certifications (, CISSP, CISM, CEH etc).
11. Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in cyber security, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
12. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, and risk management. Familiarity with manufacturing-specific systems (, SCADA, ICS) is advantageous.
13. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with excellentmunication and organisational skills.
14. Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to assessplex issues and provide clear, actionable solutions.
15. Adaptability: Proven ability to adapt to the unique challenges of securing both IT/OT systems in a manufacturing environment.
16. Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on MOD-related projects.
17. Strong understanding of MOD security standards and policies.
18. Experience in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
