The role
Were looking for a motivated, energetic, and skilled Installation Engineer to join our growing engineering team. Reporting to our Installation Supervisors, youll play a key role in delivering high-quality, efficient, and future-proof renewable heating installations during a period of significant growth.
Your work will include:
* Installing and integrating heat pump systems for residential and larger-scale projects such as plant rooms, pump rooms, and energy centres.
* Installing Heat Interface Units (HIUs) to provide efficient heating and hot water within individual homes.
* Pipefitting for heating, cooling, and hot water distribution systems, ensuring performance, safety, and quality.
* Installing fusion weld pipework and lagging/insulation to ensure durable, efficient, and compliant systems.
* Performing basic electrical work associated with heat pump systems wiring, control panels, and integration.
* Conducting inspection, testing, and QA/QC checks, producing inspection reports, and ensuring installations meet Rendesco and customer standards.
* Fault finding and resolving issues to maintain system reliability and efficiency.
* Supporting continuous improvement by adhering to and enhancing Rendescos installation processes to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver superior project outcomes.
About you
Youre a hands-on engineer with strong technical ability, great attention to detail, and a genuine passion for sustainable energy. You take ownership of your work, thrive in a team environment, and are eager to contribute to Rendescos mission of delivering clean, low-cost heating solutions.
Youll bring:
* Demonstrable professional experience in plumbing and/or pipefitting, with a proven record of high-quality installations.
* Technical understanding of hydraulic systems, including flow and pressure.
* Knowledge of hot water system regulations and standards (e.g. UK Building Regulations Part G).
* Experience in the renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction industries (preferred).
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to safety, quality, and best practice.
Qualifications and desired skills
* Engineering or Plumbing Qualification: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent).
* Proven ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot water and heating systems.
* Knowledge of industry standards, materials, tools, and techniques.
* Experience producing inspection reports and performing QA/QC tasks within renewable or construction projects.
