Inspire Education Group (IEG) is seeking a forward-thinking Digital Technologist Technician to support the delivery of our Digital Enhancement and IT strategy across the Group. This role plays a key part in developing staff digital literacy, supporting innovative teaching and learning practices, and ensuring the effective adoption of emerging digital technologies.
The Digital Technologist will be working full time (37 hours per week), all year round on a permanent contract.
Working within the Digital Technologist team and alongside IT Services, you will provide frontline technical support, deliver training, create digital guidance resources, and support the use of advanced learning technologies such as immersive rooms, virtual reality suites and digital collaboration tools. You will work closely with academic and professional services staff to embed effective digital pedagogy, champion innovation, and improve the overall learning and teaching experience.
This is a hands‑on, people‑focused role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, collaboration, and supporting cultural change through technology.
We are looking for someone with experience of:
* Providing frontend digital and educational technology support to staff and users
* Supporting Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft Windows environments
* Troubleshooting digital learning technologies via helpdesk, walk‑ins and phone support
* Installing, configuring and maintaining digital and AV equipment, including VR, touchscreens and conferencing technology
* Delivering training sessions and workshops to support digital skills development
* Creating clear guidance, training resources and support materials for digital systems
* Supporting staff to adopt digital tools that enhance teaching, learning and assessment
* Working collaboratively across departments to pilot and implement innovative technology
* Researching and evaluating emerging EdTech, AI tools and digital best practice
* Communicating complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical users
* Championing accessibility, inclusion, data protection and information security
* Working flexibly across multiple sites and responding to evolving digital needs
