This exciting opportunity utilises your Learning & Development expertise as you work closely with HR Business Partners, Business Leaders, and Centres of Excellence to develop innovative talent development solutions.
We seek a Senior Manager of Learning & Talent Development to lead the organisational learning and development strategy, enhancing capability at all levels, from early careers to senior leadership. You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating learning outcomes and owning functional development programs. Leading a team of L&D Specialists, you will build a centre of excellence that is industry-leading and best-in-class.
This pivotal role involves shaping and executing people strategies that position talent as a key competitive advantage, creating a function renowned for innovation, collaboration, and empowerment of employees and clients.
The Role
1. Define and execute a strategic vision to cultivate a high-performing, future-ready workforce supporting company growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
2. Oversee the design, deployment, and delivery of engaging, effective, and accessible learning programs aligned with business goals.
3. Develop and implement a comprehensive, company-wide learning strategy to position the organization as a leader in delivering exceptional services.
4. Collaborate with functional heads to create innovative learning and leadership development programs that drive impact and excellence.
5. Lead assessment of skill gaps and training needs, creating impactful content and coordinating delivery.
6. Design multi-tiered development curricula to prepare future leaders.
7. Utilize various learning modalities including e-learning, instructor-led training, workshops, and hands-on sessions.
8. Incorporate knowledge of evolving products and services into curricula.
9. Leverage advanced technologies, including AI and analytics, to enhance learning scalability and engagement.
10. Stay updated on L&D trends and embed best practices to keep the organization at the forefront of learning innovation.
11. Define and measure key People KPIs to align with business goals and ensure accountability.
12. Build dashboards and analytics capabilities for real-time insights and decision-making support.
13. Use data and predictive analytics to inform talent strategies and address workforce challenges proactively.
14. Build and lead a high-performing, collaborative L&D team, fostering a culture of accountability and development.
15. Advise senior leaders on workforce strategy, organizational development, and talent priorities.
16. Manage external partnerships with vendors and thought leaders to adopt best practices.
17. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability aligned with the group’s vision.
18. Ensure high levels of internal customer service satisfaction across business units.
19. Oversee graduate and apprenticeship programs to support early career development.
20. Collaborate with the wider HR and cross-functional teams.
You will play a critical role in positioning the business as a top destination for talent, leading transformative initiatives for sustainable growth.
The Person
We seek a visionary leader and collaborative team player with a proven track record in Learning & Talent Development, capable of driving transformation and impact.
Qualifications include a degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree or MBA preferred.
Experience should include progressive leadership roles in L&D and Talent, with measurable results in complex organizations, ideally within FMCG or similar high-paced environments.
Expertise in talent and organizational development, leadership development, and employee engagement is essential.
Strong strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making skills, and excellent communication abilities are required.
A collaborative, self-motivated leadership style, high integrity, emotional intelligence, and political acumen are vital.
Experience with change management, use of modern learning platforms, and a solutions-focused mindset are also important.
