What you’ll be doing
The Lead Developer will act as the technical backbone of the project, ensuring that solutions are not only functional but also optimized for long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead development of applications using MS Azure services.
* Oversee source code management within Git.
* Define and optimise CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps.
* Guide developers in using GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted coding.
* Champion cloud-native design principles and modern .NET practices.
* Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
* Collaborate with architects, testers, and Product Owners to align requirements.
* Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
* Ensure documentation is maintained in Microsoft SharePoint/Wiki/Git as needed.
* Drive DevSecOps best practices, automated testing, and deployment strategies.
* Contribute to technical decision-making and roadmap planning.
What we’re looking for
* Extensive hands‑on experience with C# and modern .NET (.Net Framework / Core / .NET 6+).
* Proven experience leading development teams in enterprise environments.
* Deep understanding of CI/CD design and automated deployment pipelines.
* Proficiency in Git‑based workflows.
* Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and AI‑assisted development.
* Solid understanding of cloud‑native design principles.
* Ability to troubleshoot complex development issues across environments.
* Exposure to microservices and containerization (AKS, Docker).
* Event‑driven architecture
* Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps practices (Bicep, Terraform).
* Knowledge of performance optimization and secure coding.
* Experience in large enterprise or regulated environments.
* High quality, maintainable code.
* Automated build and deployment pipelines.
* Technical documentation and design artefacts.
* Code review reports and improvement plans.
* Contributions to long‑term technical standards.
