Role
Atrium is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful reporting services to support both our syndicate and corporate members.

Description
Financial and Regulatory Reporting
Lead the review and delivery of statutory financial statements for the Atrium managed Lloyd’s syndicates, corporate member, and all entities under the management of the team (including Bermuda class 3a reinsurer) under UK GAAP and/or US GAAP.
Oversee all Lloyd’s regulatory returns, including quarterly Flash Report, QMA Delta, US and CAD Trust Funds, Solvency UK submissions, and other Lloyd’s‑specific reporting requirements.
Ensure full compliance with Lloyd’s and FCA/PRA requirements, including evolving regulatory guidance.
Delivery of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packs for submission to the US parent company.
Lead the consolidation of Lloyd’s syndicates and corporate member results into the wider reporting framework.
Delivery of reporting under UK and US GAAP, including technical accounting papers and reconciliations.
Finance lead for capital planning for Lloyd’s syndicates and corporate member.
Own the end‑to‑end financial reporting timetable and ensure delivery to demanding Lloyd’s and Group deadlines.
Strengthen financial controls and governance across the financial reporting processes, driving efficiency and best practice, with a focus on utilising new technology and AI.
Audit & Technical Accounting
Act as the primary relationship lead for external auditors, managing planning, execution, and resolution of audit issues across all entities.
Provide technical accounting advice on complex accounting matters, including completion of technical accounting papers.
Lead the development and maintenance of accounting policies and assess/document the impact of new accounting standards or regulatory changes
Support SOX‑aligned controls, documentation, and testing, working closely with internal audit and group finance teams. Meet quarterly internal risk control requirements.
Leadership, Team Management and Development
Lead, develop, and mentor a high‑performing financial reporting team, fostering a strong culture of control, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Setting clear objectives, performance expectations, and development plans for direct reports and wider Financial Reporting teams.
Ensure appropriate resourcing, succession planning, and knowledge sharing to support peak Lloyd’s reporting cycles.
Finance representative at internal Committees and Boards where required.
Stakeholder Management
Partner closely with the Head of Finance, CFO, Actuarial, Tax, and Operations teams to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
Build strong relationships with US parent finance leadership, clearly articulating Lloyd’s and UK‑specific reporting nuances.
Communicate complex technical and capital matters clearly to senior management and non‑finance stakeholders.
Project Work
Assist with new process implementation as a result of growth and strategic initiatives of the business.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with significant post‑qualification experience.
Extensive experience in a senior financial reporting role within the Lloyd’s market.
Ability to prioritise workloads, work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
IT skills to include moderate competency skills in the Microsoft products and experience in using Automation and AI tools:
