Overview
Personal Assistant required to support a 13 year old girl to improve life skills and confidence, including navigating public transport, shopping, and social activities. The role focuses on enabling independence and participation in daily living, supporting the client to reach potential, build friendships, and increase social interaction opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Act as a chaperone in social situations and support activities inside the home (e.g., domestic chores like cooking) and outside (e.g., community activities).
* Help and encourage participation in activities to build independence and daily living skills.
* Support social and recreational activities aligned with the client’s interests (music, swimming, cycling, running groups, clubs, exhibitions, museums, walks) and occasions to socialize (coffee and treats).
* Assist with transportation and planning for outings and appointments as needed.
* Promote safety, wellbeing, and positive social interaction opportunities.
Qualifications
* Preferably aged 16 years or older and hold a Clean UK Driving License.
* PVG Scheme Membership or Scheme Update required by successful applicant.
* Please note successful candidates will be expected to cover the cost of the PVG Membership or Update themselves.
Details
* 3 hours per week on Thursday, 4-7pm.
* Plus ad hoc support during school holidays, evenings, and weekends, including Saturdays 9am-2pm. Any ad hoc support would be agreed at least a month in advance.
* Rate of pay: £17.50 per hour.
