Security Clearance
British Citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions may apply. After offer, all successful candidates need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) managed by MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The Opportunity
This is a critical business area supporting the management of security clearances required for MBDA UK to hold governmental contracts and subcontracts. You will be part of a small team processing requests to the MOD and handling day‑to‑day enquiries regarding Security Contracts, including security aspect letters, private venture grading, and exhibition requests. You will support the Security Contracts Manager in implementing the Security Contracts Strategy, complete and record security data and clearance requests accurately, support business teams in acquiring clearances, and serve as a point of contact for internal customers and external agencies. Risk mitigation is key.
Responsibilities
* Process security clearance requests and record data accurately.
* Support the Security Contracts Manager with strategy implementation.
* Act as point of contact for internal customers regarding security contract enquiries.
* Liaise with the UK MOD and external agencies.
* Maintain confidentiality and integrity of security and contracts data.
* Contribute to risk mitigation activities.
Qualifications
* Ideally experience in Security and Defence industry or similar with classified contracts and security risk management.
* Ability to act with strict confidence; integrity paramount.
* Professional, meticulous approach with focus on accuracy.
* Strong problem‑solving, negotiation, and challenge skills.
* IT competency including Excel and Word; willingness to learn new systems.
* Willingness to learn new standards and processes to apply best practice security.
Desirable but not essential
* Awareness and knowledge of classified Security contracts (F1686, F680, Security Aspects Letters process).
* Security awareness for ongoing aftercare of security contracts.
* Presentational experience for training delivery.
