The Opportunity
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll support the safe and effective delivery of major contracts within the Hinkley Point C project. Your work will help drive our journey towards An Electric Britain, supporting one of the UK's most significant nuclear construction programmes.
Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role is based at #Hinkley Point C with some hybrid working and travel to other sites, as agreed with your Line Manager. You'll work closely with project controls, engineering, commercial and construction teams in a dynamic project environment.
You'll build capability across planning, scheduling and stakeholder engagement while supporting key documentation and decision‑making processes. With exposure to major infrastructure systems and project controls, we'll help you develop the skills to progress your career with confidence.
Who You Are
We're looking for a French and English speaking Project Manager who brings strong communication, organisation and analytical thinking to a complex project setting. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:
Excellent written and oral presentation skills, able to communicate effectively and interact with senior managers
People management skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence and work collaboratively within complex internal and external multidisciplinary groups
Ability to display and communicate a logical thought process, with excellent analytical skills including budget analysis and forecasting
Ability to cope well under pressure and within tight timeframes
Ability to undertake individual working to a high level of attention to detail
A Degree or similar qualification in engineering, construction or a related field may be beneficial but is not essential
Security Vetting
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Clearance (SC), which will, ordinarily, require you to have British residency for the last five years. You'll also need the legal right to work in the UK to join EDF.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the Project Manager with the delivery of contract and project scope
Coordinating with internal and external teams to keep activities aligned with project requirements
Helping maintain planning schedules, documentation and meeting records
Supporting project control processes including Earned Value Management and reporting activities
Assisting with stakeholder engagement and preparation of materials for regulatory discussions
