The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail HR Business Partner to join SEPHORA UK as the dedicated HRBP for our Northern region, playing a key role in shaping the employee experience across our growing retail network.
In this role, youll be a trusted partner to our Store Leadership teams, supporting them in building strong, engaged, highperforming teams. From employee relations and performance management to HR operations, analytics and talent support, youll bring consistency, clarity, and expertise to all areas of people management.
Working closely with the Head of HR for Retail, youll help foster a culture where our teams feel empowered, supported, and inspired, all while contributing to the next chapter of Sephoras expansion across the UK.
What youll be doing
Youll support and lead activity across the full HR generalist spectrum, including:
1. Advise and coach store leaders on effective people management, ensuring alignment with policies and employment law.
2. Act as a trusted point of contact for store teams, supporting performance, conflict resolution, and daytoday HR queries.
3. Partner with the ER Manager to support or lead ER cases (absence, performance, misconduct) and ensure accurate case reporting.
4. Oversee HR documentation and administration, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and on time.
5. Monitor absence trends through monthly reporting and ensure RTWs and followup conversations are completed.
6. Partner with store leaders to deliver the engagement survey, drive participation, and action key focus areas.
7. Support cyclical HR activities (e.g., performance reviews, development processes) to promote a consistent employee experience.
8. Drive effective internal communication across retail teams to ensure information is clear, timely, and engaging.
9. Prepare HR reports and insights to support datadriven decisionmaking across the retail business.
What youll bring
Youll be an adaptable and proactive with the confidence and capability to support busy store environments. You will also bring:
10. Strong generalist HR experience, ideally within fastpaced retail or highvolume environments.
11. CIPD qualification (or working towards) is preferred.
12. Proven experience supporting managers with people issues and coaching leaders.
13. High levels of resilience and the ability to work with agility through constant change.
14. Strong commercial awareness and exceptional people skills.
15. Outstanding organisation, accuracy, and prioritisation skills.
16. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
17. A handson, solutionsfocused approach, with flexibility and adaptability.
18. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience with HR systems.
