As a Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require specialized care and support. Your primary responsibility will be to promote independence, dignity, and well-being among the service users in your care, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. Responsibilities: Provide person-centered care Assist with daily living activities Promote independence Monitor health and well-being Emotional and social support Implement care plans Safeguarding Participate in training and development Qualifications and Requirements: Compassion, empathy, and patience to support individuals with diverse needs and challenges. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic care environment. Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations, safeguarding procedures, and confidentiality guidelines. A commitment to promoting the rights, dignity, and well-being of Service Users Relevant certifications or training in care, such as NVQ/Diploma or equivalent, would be advantageous.
