We're looking to recruit a Sheltered Housing Officer in Liverpool on a temporary contract for at least 3 months to support our social housing client in covering sickness. This is a full-time, 37 hour per week role, where you will split your time through the week between two of their schemes.
Key responsibilities:
1. Deliver frontline housing management and triage resident issues, acting as the main point of contact for customers, visitors and stakeholders
2. Support new tenants with viewings and inductions,pleting risk assessments and updating risk assessments & support plans for current tenants
3. Conduct daily welfare checks and respond to emergency calls
4. Carry out health and safety inspections to ensurepliance, including fire alarm tests and legionella
5. Facilitate referrals for aids, adaptations and social care
6. Organise tenant engagement sessions andmunity events to encourage resident involvement and promote independence
7. Monitormunal areas and ensure security procedures are followed
What you'll need to succeed
8. Proven experience in a housing management role, ideally having worked with over 55s or vulnerable customers to deliver housing and tenancy related services
9. Ability to work independently on own initiative
10. Experience of creating risk assessments and support plans
11. Knowledge of welfare reform and ability to offer tenancy sustainment guidance, and assist with benefit queries
12. Enhanced DBS, ideally on the update service
