Role Overview
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our agency team, supporting a well-established nursery in the Newport area. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping staff provide high-quality care and early learning experiences for young children, contributing to their development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
5. Supporting children’s play, learning, and daily routines to ensure a stimulating and engaging environment
6. Helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and organised setting that promotes learning and development
7. Assisting staff with supervision, meal and snack times, and hygiene routines to ensure the children’s health and safety
8. Setting up and tidying away activities and resources throughout the day to maintain a clean and organised environment
9. Engaging positively with children to encourage confidence, independence, and curiosity, fostering a love of learning
Required Skills & Experience
10. At least 6 months of UK early years experience, demonstrating a understanding of childcare principles and practices
11. Genuine interest in supporting children’s development, with a passion for early years education
12. Ability to work well within a team and follow guidance, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
