The Role
The Design Project Manager will take responsibility for design activities across electrical and mechanical disciplines, ensuring project milestones are met in terms of time and quality constraints. Central to the successful delivery of large‑scale automation and infrastructure projects, this role ensures that designs are fully integrated, technically robust, and compliant with quality and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the flow of technical documentation, aligning design deliverables to project milestones.
* Facilitate cross‑disciplinary collaboration to resolve technical challenges.
* Oversee supplier and subcontractor integration and ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Maintain rigorous document control processes throughout the full project lifecycle from concept and detailed design to commissioning.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience in managing multi‑disciplinary design activities within complex engineering projects, ideally in automation, materials handling, or infrastructure environments.
* Strong knowledge of engineering documentation standards, quality management processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
* Highly organised, confident in managing priorities, proactive communicator, and skilled in building relationships across internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
