About The Role
As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our organization's IT systems. Your responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure, as well as proactively managing and enhancing security. A deep understanding of IT infrastructure components and network architecture is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performance IT infrastructure. Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, storage, and other critical components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system functionality and IT operations.
* Security Oversight: Monitor security alerts and incidents, respond to breaches, and coordinate incident response. Stay updated on security trends, threats, and technologies. Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security measures.
* Identity and Access Management: Administer and improve identity and access systems, implement multi-factor authentication, and manage single sign-on solutions to enhance security.
Work hours are per week, with a hybrid model and occasional travel to Wolverhampton.
About You
Qualifications:
* Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* Proven experience in IT infrastructure management and cybersecurity.
* Deep knowledge of network protocols, security architecture, and infrastructure components.
* Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO.
* Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CCNP are highly desirable.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
