The Role
We're recruiting on behalf of our client for a Supply Chain Specialist to join their UK site in Newport.
This is a hands-on, operational role managing stock, procurement, suppliers, logistics, and UK-EU customs flows.
You'll work closely with global teams while keeping UK operations running smoothly.
No finance experience needed - just a willingness to learn basic admin tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage UK inventory, including monthly stock checks and system updates.
* Oversee procurement: raising orders, tracking deliveries, matching invoices, and maintaining supplier pricing.
* Coordinate all shipping from the Newport depot, ensuring accurate documentation and customs compliance.
* Build strong relationships with UK, EU, and international suppliers and logistics partners.
* Support simple administrative duties such as invoice uploads, basic reporting, and VAT/month-end preparation (training provided).
* Contribute to process improvements and maintain accurate audit-ready documentation.
About You
* Minimum 3 years in supply chain/ procurement.
* Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
* Strong organisation, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
* ERP experience preferred
* Able to work independently and communicate well with international teams.
* Eager to learn new systems and support basic admin/finance processes.
