Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our Night Shift team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess the ability to communicate effectively while providing care and support. This role involves assisting individuals in their daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
This role is a 3 on 3 off rota, weekends and bank holidays will be shared equally.
Responsibilities
* To provide the highest quality of care and support as part of the care team to in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and standards set by the Regulatory Body
* Supporting, mentoring and educating our children in day to day activities to develop their emotional and social needs
* Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living
* Positive engagement to encourage our children and young adults in their development
* Reporting and recording key aspects of care and developing your professional skills as part of on-going development
* Managing complex and challenging behaviour
* Support with engagement in activities
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children is essential
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children and families
* A compassionate nature with a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in your care
