This role involves managing data protection, information management, and compliance activities, including handling data from students, partners, and suppliers.
Location & Working Arrangements
Hybrid role requiring 3 days per week at our South London offices.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the data protection framework supports the highest standards of privacy and security.
* Provide expert guidance on best practices to stakeholders.
* Oversee SARs, data breaches, and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Deliver engaging training sessions to staff.
* Collaborate with IT, legal, and safeguarding teams to embed privacy by design.
* Conduct audits and risk assessments to strengthen data security.
Candidate Profile
* Experience: Strong background in data protection, preferably in education or multi-site organizations.
* Knowledge: GDPR, DPA, safeguarding considerations related to children’s data.
* Communication: Ability to translate legal requirements into practical guidance for school leaders and staff.
* Problem-solving: Proactive approach to managing privacy risks and incidents.
* Training & Awareness: Experience in developing and delivering accessible data protection training.
* Qualifications: Certifications such as CIPP/E or CIPM are a plus but not essential.
