About the Role
An established and forward-thinking local authority in the South East is seeking an experiencedProperty Solicitorto join its Legal Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive public-sector environment, advising on a broad range of property matters that directly impact the community.
In this role, you will provide high-quality legal advice, representation, and support to officers and elected Members across the Council. Youll also support the delivery of key projects by advising on complex property transactions and helping shape strategic decisions relating to land, assets, and regeneration.
Key Responsibilities
General Legal Responsibilities
1. Provide clear, practical legal advice and representation to colleagues, Members, and external stakeholders.
2. Represent the Council in legal proceedings, including undertaking advocacy where appropriate.
3. Manage a varied caseload, ensuring timely and efficient progression of matters.
4. Attend committees, statutory meetings, and public meetings as required.
5. Contribute to the Legal Services teams service plan and support delivery of wider corporate objectives.
