We are currently seeking an experienced Solutions Architect who can assist in translating projects into solution designs. You will be working with a large public sector organisation in Birmingham.
- £600 - £650 p/d Outside IR35
- 3 to 9-month contract
- Hybrid working in Birmingham (2-3 Days on site per month)
- Starting in December
Responsibilities
* Accountable for the development, ownership, delivery and support of Solutions Architecture
* Understanding the business needs, documenting those needs and producing technical solutions for the business requirements. Work with colleagues and users to investigate, model and document requirements and acceptance criteria.
* Review all technical designs and provide advice and guidance to the business.
* Communicate complex IT architecture in business terms to internal and external decision makers, engaging with them to explain technical drivers and how such solutions/strategies address their current and future needs
* Responsible for providing advice on the use of the ICT environment to staff and business users and for determining the standards to which operating systems and software must comply.
* Ensure all key processes for the team are documented and owned and establish and embed a culture of continuous service improvement.
* Effectively manage the technical standards, advise users of departmental systems of these standards and to ensure compliance through effective communication, and provision of clear information, with all user groups.
* Attend and present reports to Management Boards, Senior Management and Project Boards as and when required and to report operational and corporate risks arising from changes to design principles.
* Identify opportunities, costs, issues and risks for business stakeholders and make recommendations.
* Implement and maintain all required architecture governance.
