About The Role

By joining our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as an Assurance Manager on the Sizewell C Project, you’ll work with experts who share knowledge and provide support and feedback to help you learn and grow. Sizewell C will create a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for at least 60 years, built next to Sizewell B which began operating in 1995 and has avoided more than 76 million tonnes of carbon emissions. This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days per week based out of the Bristol (Aztec West) office.
What you\'ll be doing
* Operate effectively and with authority in a complex matrix organisation
* Lead and create the definition of the necessary Quality Assurance and Governance processes
* Influence key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
* Define the Quality Assurance requirements within individual functional areas, including mobilisation/procurement of external expertise where necessary
* Be a key contributor to overall strategy
* Be a recognised expert / advisor to others in all areas of assurance and governance
* Manage Customer, Internal, IP and Stakeholder quality assurance and governance interfaces
* Submit regular performance reports indicating deviations, corrective actions taken and escalation of issues
* Provide a point of independent quality escalation for programme team members directly to the Alliance Director and/or SZC Client Programme Manager
* Manage third party suppliers to achieve desired programme outcomes
* Attend and contribute to the business PM Forum
* Support other functional areas in related deliverables, e.g. quality input and evaluation of contracts
* In assurance, governance and quality, manage stakeholders considering their influence and interests
* Establish, host, support and chair assurance and governance reviews at appropriate points during the programme
* Ensure industry and professional standards are communicated, adopted and implemented across the workscope
* Develop and mentor staff and implement succession planning

Who we\'re looking for
* Diploma in Quality Management or degree-level qualification
* Lead Auditor qualification to ISO 9001
* Chartered membership to a relevant professional body, preferably Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
* Natural leader able to inspire, motivate and influence people to drive the business forward
* Experience as a senior Quality Leader managing large Quality teams, major projects and budgets, ideally in a highly regulated industry with multi-disciplined major contracts
* Track record of successful Quality Management within an Engineering or project delivery environment
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ideally ISO 19443:2018, with understanding of managing CFSI risk
* Ability to obtain security clearance
