The Role – What You'll Do
As the
Quality & Compliance Officer
, you will support all quality and compliance functions and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing management systems across a number of standards and certifications, including ISO and regulatory codes. Responsibilities include:
* Managing document control activities to ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, 27001, 17020, 17025, and the Forensic Science Regulator's Code of Practice.
* Administering and maintaining the electronic Quality & Compliance Management System.
* Supporting root cause analysis, investigations, and 5WHY methodology for non-conformance, complaints, and other quality issues.
* Conducting internal audits and preparing relevant documentation and reports.
* Supporting the production of KPIs, internal communications, and senior leadership reporting.
* Engaging with external assessment and certification bodies.
* Promoting continuous improvement initiatives including FMEA.
* Building strong internal relationships across all departments to support quality and compliance goals.
Candidate Profile – What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Working knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 27001, 17025, etc.) and/or FSR CoP, or a strong willingness to undergo training.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage complex workloads.
* Strong IT skills including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
* Proven ability to adapt to new systems and software tools.
Desirable:
* Experience in a regulated or forensic environment.
* Internal auditor qualification or audit experience.
* Previous exposure to root cause analysis methods.
* Background in process review and improvement.
