The role of SOE is vital in supporting victims of sexual assault. We seek caring and compassionate RNs, Midwives, RMNs, or Paramedics to become Sexual Offence Examiners, providing holistic care and support.
Full training will be provided to become a qualified Forensic Practitioner, with opportunities for further education after one year.
Main duties
* Develop forensic strategies per FFLM guidelines.
* Conduct forensic examinations and collect exhibits.
* Collaborate with external MDTs and Police.
* Serve as the first point of contact for victims, Police, and Social Services.
* Manage self-referral pathways.
* Undertake holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
* Support service quality improvement.
* Adhere to Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
* Obtain consent for procedures.

Location: The Humberside SARC, with additional sites in South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, and North Yorkshire.
Salary: £43,005.07 FTE for 40 hours/week, part-time 32 hours/week.
Shifts: 9am-5pm, 5pm-1am, 1am-9am, covering 24/7, with on-call from home.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Paramedic
* Female applicants only, due to occupational requirements
* UK driving license and access to a vehicle
* Enhanced DBS and police vetting required
Experience
* At least 3 years relevant post-qualification experience
* Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality
* Experience working autonomously
