Are you an experienced & dedicated nurse leader looking for an opportunity to make an impact on healthcare services? We are seeking an exceptional Collaborative Lead Nurse to join our NHS Trust located in the breathtaking surroundings of the Lake District.
This post is a great opportunity to join a fantastic team, leading CYP services across the Trust & the County. As Collaborative Lead Nurse you will be a key part of the Triumvirate, leading the Quality Assurance & Improvement programme delivering & improving the quality & safety of services within the Collaborative.
The services within the portfolio include:
1. Community Paediatrics
2. Acute Paediatrics
3. SCBU
4. School Immunisations service & CHIS
5. Strengthening Families
6. Specialist services including CCN
You will hold a strategic & operational leadership position, responsible in conjunction with the Collaborative Chair and General Manager for managing all patient services within the Collaborative.
Main duties of the job
You will be a member of the Senior Nursing and Leadership team. Providing strategic, operational and professional leadership for Lead Matrons, Matrons, ward sisters, team leaders, and nursing staff for the services they deliver, acting as a point of contact and/or advice & expertise on professional issues.
7. Provide strategic direction, operational & professional leadership ensuring the nursing contribution to delivery of quality patient care.
8. Lead on service modernisation, nursing workforce & workload planning, nursing & HCA education, research, training & development & quality of Nursinginterventions in relation to professional standards & health care governance
9. Provide expertise & advice to the Collaborative team in relation to nursing issues
10. In the spirit of collaborative, multidisciplinary and multiagency working ensure close collaboration with key stakeholders such as General Managers, service managers, AHP Professional Heads of Services, Associate Director of Midwifery, Clinical Directors in the development and delivery of quality patient care.
11. Provide support & professional leadership to the Trust quality improvement agenda
12. Be responsible for co-ordinating & implementing research & development (R&D) programmes/activity in the Collaborative
