About the Role:
As part of the LII Delivery Team, this role will support the delivery of the strategic goals of the Portfolio Solutions business area globally, through the implementation of transformative business process and technology changes. These initiatives will allow us to uplift our priority capabilities, as identified through the business model design work and have been deemed crucial in the achievement of the strategic goals of the organisation.
The Delivery Manager will report to the Senior Delivery Manager and will work closely with partners in Business Architecture, Business Agility, Technology, Change Management, Support functions and directly with the regional Business teams, to drive the day-to-day delivery of major initiatives, small enhancements and / or operating model changes which enable the achievement of LII strategic goals.
This exciting role will initially manage the day-to-day delivery of one of the strategic initiatives within Portfolio Solutions, ensuring cross-functional delivery remains on track against the plan and objectives, while promptly resolving and escalating issues and risks to maintain the pace of delivery so that business value can be achieved.
This will require close collaboration with the various teams and workstreams involved in the end-to-end delivery and close alignment with the Senior Delivery Manager to ensure that visibility is provided regarding progress and any potential challenges. In addition, this role will work closely with the Senior Delivery Manager to ensure consistency in all delivery approaches, including planning, any relevant governance, and risk management.

The Portfolio solutions demand pathway will allow us to enter into strategic partnerships to access complimentary and in-appetite blocks of risk. It is an effective way of diversifying our portfolio at manageable expense ratios and our programme of work will develop a business model, operating model and set of execution deliverables to achieve our strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
•Ensures the timely delivery and execution of the existing roadmap and end-to-end delivery plan, continuously refining the latter as delivery progresses. •Collaborates with the Senior Delivery Manager to ensure the delivery approach continues to align to business outcomes and strategic priorities in Portfolio Solutions. •Proactively manages delivery across all workstreams for the strategic initiative, ensuring milestones are defined and met, and all workstreams have a clear understanding and alignment around timelines. •Supports the facilitation of Programme Increment planning, together with the Senior Delivery Manager, to develop Outcomes and Key Results (OKRs) in conjunction with the wider team. •Provides inputs into delivery artefacts, including roadmaps, governance reporting, stakeholder updates, etc. •Owns and maintains the existing end-to-end delivery plan across all workstreams involved in delivering the strategic initiative, ensuring all activities are completed on time and that any blockers are understood. •Works closely with the Scrum Master to ensure all items in the backlog that are supporting the end-to-end delivery are aligned to the end-to-end plan and have clear timelines. •Works closely with the relevant workstream leads to ensure overall team readiness to support delivery and escalates any resourcing constraints or concerns. •Manages go-live readiness, together with Change Management, before any product releases, ensuring a business readiness checklist is in place and all teams are ready to support the change. •Owns the existing Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies (RAIDs) board and develops a detailed understanding of cross-functional RAIDs, ensuring these are being proactively managed in line with the plan. •Works closely with all workstreams to define the implementation and roll-out plans for each product release, incorporating these into the end-to-end delivery plan.
Skills and Experience:
•Experience in project management, ideally with Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies •Proactive and dynamic self-starter, able to identify milestones and maintain pace of delivery against these •Strong communication and presentation skills •Strong team-work, co-ordination, organization and planning skills •Problem solver with ability to work with a team to maximize progress, potential and overall effectiveness •Desirable: Experience delivering digital products in partnership with Technology teams •Desirable: Knowledge of Insurance •Confident in engaging with senior stakeholders, where needed •Ability to create and maintain delivery plans •Ability to proactively manage RAIDs, aptly identifying these, understanding their impact and confidently escalating as required to ensure prompt resolution and / or support
