Join Our Team as a Senior/Principal Hardware Engineer!
Location: Rochester
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum
Your Mission:
As a Senior/Principal Hardware Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative hardware solutions. Your expertise will guide the development of cutting-edge products, including Helmet Mounted & Head-Up Displays, Mission Computers, and Flight Controls. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Executing complex hardware design tasks while adhering to timelines and budgets.
* Conducting hardware requirements capture and detailed design analysis.
* Embracing innovation to enhance design processes and working practices.
* Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize solutions.
* Providing technical guidance on digital and analogue electronics solutions.
* Coaching and developing junior team members.
* Delivering design artifacts that meet company and industry standards.
Your Skills and Experience:
Essential:
* Degree/HND in Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Proven knowledge and experience in digital and/or analogue electronics technologies.
* Experience throughout the engineering development lifecycle, from concept to product certification.
* Strong understanding of cost and schedule constraints on designs.
* Ability to provide robust engineering judgment at all lifecycle phases.
* Solid grasp of product design and work package control.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise.
* Experience with analogue simulation tools like Simetrix or Spice.
* Knowledge of system development tools such as Enterprise Architect, Matlab, or Simulink.
