Vehicle Technician / Mechanic requiredOur client is a well-established independent garage since 1947 based in Midhurst with an excellent reputation for providing high-quality vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair services. They are now seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their busy and professional workshop team.The successful candidate will be a qualified Level 3 Technician with strong workshop experience, capable of working independently and contributing from day one. An MOT Tester licence would be highly advantageous, although training may be available for the right individual.Vehicle Technician / Mechanic - Position OverviewServicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of vehicle makes and modelsDiagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faultsCarrying out repairs to brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, tyres, clutches, and timing beltsConducting vehicle inspections and diagnostic testingPreparing vehicles for sale and customer handoverDiagnosing engine, transmission, and drivability issuesCompleting work efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of workmanshipWorking closely with colleagues to ensure smooth workshop operationsProviding excellent customer service when requiredVehicle Technician / Mechanic - Position RequirementsNVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and RepairPrevious experience working as a Vehicle Technician or MechanicStrong diagnostic and fault-finding skillsAbility to work independently and hit the ground runningFull UK Driving LicenceGood communication and organisational skillsMOT Class 4 Tester licence would be advantageousEV qualifications or training would be beneficial but not essentialExperience working on a variety of vehicle makes and modelsVehicle Technician / Mechanic - Position RemunerationSalary £32,000-£35,000 basic (depending on experience) £47,000 OTE (Overtime and efficiency bonus)Full-time, permanent positionCompany pension schemeEmployee discountSick payFree on-site parkingOngoing training and development opportunitiesStable long-term opportunity with a respected independent garageHoursWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, with flexible start times of either 8:00am-5:00pm or 8:30am-5:30pm.Streamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
