Our client is a leader in the field of advanced moulding solutions, specialising in engineering structural foam moulding, injection moulding, and reaction injection moulding.
We are seeking a driven Technical Sales Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will estimate and calculate piece prices for potential new business, manage the entire quotation process, oversee the manufacture of tooling for successful bids, and ensure smooth transition of new business.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm & Friday 8am-1pm, based at their site in Basildon, Essex.

Responsibilities:
1. Estimate and calculate piece prices for new business opportunities, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
2. Define tool specifications and seek quotations from toolmakers.
3. Prepare and present quotations to customers.
4. Oversee tooling manufacture, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
5. Manage new business introduction, maintaining strong customer relationships.
6. Provide technical support to the mould shop, including tooling, processing, and materials expertise. Manage repairs and modifications of tooling.
7. Build and maintain customer relationships, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
Requirements:
1. Background in engineering with relevant qualifications (HND/Degree).
2. Understanding of the injection moulding process; knowledge of structural foam and reaction injection moulding is advantageous.
3. Interest or experience in technical sales, with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to tooling and manufacturing.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Teamwork skills, supporting cross-functional departments and fostering collaboration.
