Head of NPD – Bakery Food Manufacturer
Contract: 12 months – Full-time (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm)

Talent Guardian is proud to be recruiting for a leading bakery food manufacturer based in the beautiful town of Bala, North Wales. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of New Product Development to lead innovation from concept to launch.
The Role You’ll lead a talented NPD team, working closely with customers and cross-functional departments to deliver high-quality bakery products that delight consumers and meet commercial objectives. From concept creation through to scale-up and production, you’ll ensure processes run seamlessly and to the highest food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and inspire a dedicated NPD team, ensuring excellence and innovation.
* Collaborate with customers and internal teams to deliver projects on time and to specification.
* Analyse recipes and processes to troubleshoot issues using root cause analysis.
* Ensure full compliance with food legislation, BRCGS, and retailer codes of practice.
* Stay ahead of trends, introducing fresh ideas and process improvements.
About You:
* Proven experience in food manufacturing (bakery preferred).
* Strong NPD leadership background with a track record of scaling products from concept to launch.
* Food Safety Level 4 (or equivalent) and TACCP/VACCP training desirable.
* In-depth knowledge of BRCGS, retailer systems, and food legislation.
* Analytical, detail-focused, and solutions-driven.
* Excellent communicator and collaborative leader with a positive, professional attitude.
