Department: Physiotherapy PCIP

We are seeking dynamic, highly effective and skilled Advanced Practice First Contact physiotherapists to deliver high quality triage services in an exciting new role as part of the MDT team in a new GP walk-in community Clinic in Hawick Scottish Borders. The role aim to support the extension and delivery of physiotherapy first contact practitioner services to enhance direct contact, early triage of acute presentations in the Scottish Borders.

As an advanced practice level physiotherapist, you will contribute to the ongoing strategic development of the FCP service. The role will combine providing a first contact practitioner service within the community setting alongside supporting clinical leadership in the FCP physiotherapy team. This is a great opportunity where you will be supported and mentored in the role over the coming months.

The post holder will work closely with general practitioners in the GP practice primary care environment, orthopaedic consultants, orthopaedic MSK advanced physiotherapy practitioners, MSK podiatrist, advanced practice nurses to provide an integrated service for musculoskeletal patients in the Borders.

As from 01/04/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
