Job Description

This is a part-time post supporting two Care Homes within West Dunbartonshire Council, Crosslet House and Queens Quay House. The successful candidate will join an existing admin team.

Admin assistants should focus on delivering high-quality support to our services. The successful candidate will perform a range of administrative functions and adhere to West Dunbartonshire Policies and Procedures.

You should be able to work as part of a team and independently, meet deadlines and quality standards, possess positive customer service skills, and be self-motivated and flexible to the service's needs.

Essential requirements include:

* Knowledge of clerical processes and procedures
* Understanding of customer-focused service
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and database systems
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Numeracy and accuracy skills
* Strong organisational skills
* Flexibility and adaptability
* Team player


Requirements

This post is a Regulated Role with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020. Membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details can be found here.

Preferred applicants will need to join the PVG scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal offer is made.


Responsibilities

The employment is excepted from section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants must disclose all convictions, including spent ones, as failure to do so could lead to dismissal or disciplinary action.
