Were looking for an experienced and proactive Purchasing Manager to lead and develop our procurement function. This is a hands-on leadership role where youll manage a small team of buyers, take ownership of supplier relationships, and ensure the business secures the best possible value across all categories. The role is office-based in Daventry.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and continuously improve purchasing and procurement processes.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal results on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Monitor, analyse, and forecast material and product demand to ensure consistent supply and efficient stock levels.
Review spend data to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, ensuring long-term value and minimising supply chain risk.
Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans where necessary.
Work collaboratively with internal teamsincluding operations, production, and financeto ensure a smooth and reliable supply chain.

The Salary:
The business will offer a salary designed to attract their preferred candidate and this will depend on experience. It is likely to be in the region of £45,000.
The Person
Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally at manager level.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
Commercially astute, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
Strong IT literacy and familiarity with procurement or ERP systems.
This is an office-based role. Suitable candidates will live within a commutable distance of Daventry.
