Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineering professional looking to inspire the next generation, or an established lecturer seeking your next opportunity? We are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join a forward-thinking college in Derbyshire.
This role offers the chance to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Levels 1-3, combining both practical workshop-based learning and classroom theory. You'll play a vital role in supporting learners to develop the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in engineering.
We welcome applications from both qualified teachers and industry professionals looking to transition into Further Education. If you bring real-world experience and a passion for developing others, full teacher training and qualifications can be supported.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality teaching across Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering programmes (Levels 1-3)
Facilitate both hands-on workshop sessions and classroom-based theoretical learning
Support, assess, and monitor learner progress to ensure successful outcomes
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
Create an inclusive and motivating learning environmentEssential Requirements:
Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
Industry experience within mechanical/manufacturing engineering
A passion for teaching and developing learnersDesirable:
HNC (or higher) in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
A recognised teaching qualification (for candidates applying at the top of the salary band)What We Offer:
Salary between £35,000 - £46,000 (top band for qualified lecturers)
Full teaching qualifications funded for unqualified candidates
